Taking flight within our day-to-day lives for remembrance of and creatively sharing
of that in spirit which uplifts us, warms us, deepens, expands, and connects us.
To celebrate, honor, and explore life in all its dimensions, giving voice to creatures
great and small; to nature, our elders, to children,
and our relatives in the skies, earth, and waters.
"All over the sky a sacred voice is calling your name" ~
As I looked back on my ancestry from the last 4 generations and made those connections, I realized much later in life what they all had given me that remained a support for my entire life.Much of it was imbibing who and how they were through modeling, but much was gained from the impressions they left in 'the blood' so to speak. The Aborigines in Australia believe that the spirit of their ancestors are in their blood and now I believe that something like that is also true in my case.
The relatives I never met had as much of an influence as the ones who were in my daily life. They were the elusive ones who held the space for life's mysteries awakened the seeds of connection that still grow and branch out into a never-ending wonder. They were the indigenous relatives that, if we go back to our roots, we all have. Their spirits stirred in my heart until I was able to find the expression that resonates with their messages in real time. When I found the mirror for that way of being, the light bulb went off and life has never been the same. The fullness and richness continues to grow. You will recognize how your ancestors gifts reside in your being also!
Many of the concerns burning to be shared fifteen years ago when this project began to honor my ancestors are now taken up by thousands of scientists and millions of people worldwide.... thank goodness. I encourage you to investigate your own heritage and find out how your ancestors lived and walked the earth in generations past, then be happily surprised at how much energy is released in your being that was in those treasure chests of their gifts to you, and in the timeless wisdom they offer. The 'language' of culture speaks volumes to the parts of us that are implicit and exponentially enhances the explicit day-to-day life we lead.
